Ballpoint Pen

Pens are all around us, in offices, in schools, at home, name it. But only few of us ever take the time to think of the wonderful history behind the pen. The name is derived from a Latin word, 'Penna' which means feather. A pen is a writing instrument that uses ink and transfers it to a paper depending on how you manipulate the pen to write. pens come under different brand names like Reed pens, Quills, Metal nibs, Fountain pens, Felt pens among many more.

Some of the names are based on the type of the tip they have while some others have their names derived form the materials they are made from. For a long time the ballpoint pen has continued to gain popularity among many people. They have taken over the quill pens and the fountain pens, which for a long time were in existence for more than a century in the 19th century. Although the fountain pens still exist, they are not in much use as the ballpoint pens.

Pen

The pen was invented by Bmrs Laszls Jszsef Biro after he discovered that the kind of ink he was using dried much faster than the normal ink. The Hungarian pen, for example, has had a great impact as far as eliminating the fountain pens is involved. One thing about this type of pen is that they have a tendency to influence children handwriting skills.

The ballpoint is one kind of a money saver because it can be used for an year without having to be refilled.. Its market has expanded quite a bit and today, more reliable and much cheaper pens are being produced the world over. No other kind of pen beats these pens as far as quality delivery is your concern.
